Description
Abstarct: The Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) is constructing a plasma wakefield
acceleration (PWFA) test facility based on the BEPCII linac, comprising two
beamlines and a petawatt laser system. Beamline I delivers 2 GeV electron/positron
beams from BEPCII, while Beamline II is a newly built 150 MeV high-performance linac
capable of producing >5 nC, >10 kA electron bunches. Both beamlines are installed;
Beamline I and II have started beam commissioning and experiments on plasma wakefield
acceleration are planned to begin in the end of this year.
