Description

Various superconducting magnets are being developed and manufactured in Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics, Novosibirsk.
Major activities of BINP superconducting magnets laboratory are focused on insertions devices SKIF light source starting operation soon this year. Three superconducting wigglers and undulators are successfully tested and installed.
New superconducting solenoid of 1.5 T magnetic field and 1 m of inner diameter is designed for the CMD-4 detector to replace previous thin solenoid of 0.7 m diameter. The cryogenics of this solenoid will be based on three cryocoolers.
The superconducting dipole magnet is designed for JINR, Moscow region. Its parameters are the same as for the CBM detector (GSI) except the pole distance that will be decreased from 1.44 m to 0.8 m. The cryogenics of this magnet will be based on the thermosiphon helium cooling from new cryostat containing 1500 l of LHe.
The status of these and other works will be presented in the WG7 session.
