Description

There are five superconducting wigglers (SCW) are in operation or development at the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF), Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI CAS). The SW1 is a 4.2 T SCW producing hard X-ray for beamline BL12SW. The period length is 48 mm. The number of periods is 22.5+2. The vertical and horizontal beam aperture is 9 mm and 60 mm, respectively. The SW1 was installed in the storage ring on April 6, 2021 and replaced by SW2 on August 8, 2026. The SW2 has identical specifications with SW1. A 6.0 T superconducting damping wigger (SCDW) is being developed to fulfil the requirement of the next generation synchrotron light source. Design of two 4.2 T SCW named SCMag is ongoing. These two devices are required by a new light source to be built in Suzhou. In this talk, we will present the development and operation of SW1, the test results and installation of SW2, the design of SCDW, and finally a brief introduction to the SCMag.
