Description
This presentation outlines the operational status and data computing services of the ALICE Tier-1 center at the Global Science experimental Data hub Center (GSDC) in KISTI. As the sole ALICE Tier-1 facility in Asia, KISTI GSDC operates a high-performance computing and storage infrastructure to support the intensive data-processing requirements of the CERN ALICE experiment.
The talk highlights key architectural strategies, including large-scale distributed storage systems (EOS/QuarkDB) and HTCondor-based batch computing environments designed for high-volume LHC data processing. We will discuss service availability, reliability metrics within the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG) framework, and recent operational enhancements. Finally, we will share future plans to upgrade data infrastructure to meet the demands of the upcoming High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) era.
